Frivolous dreams

I’ve been meaning to say this when I learned that my college friend Jenny was planning to take her PhD in Germany. (I just kept myself from raving about it while she hasn’t flown there yet.) Do you know the first thing that came into my mind when I heard about that?

Metallica.

In one of my wildest dream, I am in the front row of my favorite band’s concert, thrashing and head-banging with the crowd. We all know that this ageing metal band doesn’t like going to third world countries such as ours, and would only tour around Europe and Northern America. The snobbery does not prevent me from loving their songs though.

I’ll call it frivolous because I cannot really afford to go to Europe and see them live. But in this dream of mine, I’ll fly to Germany, somewhere between Frankfurt and Nuremburg. And someone would go and watch my favorite band with me.

I take it back

Now that I have the time to be thoughtful about what happened to me this year, I take it back. This year had really been good to me.

First off, my family is doing pretty good, including the elders.
During my youngest sister's 18th birthday

Getting regularized, meeting awesome people and having a great boss are a good enough reason for me to love my work.
Work!

Exploring Tagaytay alone with F was something I cannot forget about this year.
Overlooking Taal

I also enjoyed the time going back once again to Baguio City
Baguio with family
and this time it was with family members. That seldom happens!

I spent my birthday high up in the sky and in a not-so foreign land.
Up in the sky
That was a first and all firsts are good :-)

Finally, I think I did a lot of work this year! This 2009 was probably the busiest for me, and I’m proud to say I took the challenge head-on! :-)

And not to forget as of writing, 1461 days of being together with F <3<3<3

I’m so looking forward to this year’s holidays…

This year has been one hell of a roller-coaster ride. You know how roller-coaster rides can be.

I badly need rest. Just one more… one more activity, one more offering for the gods.
