Senatorial candidates forum and priceless remarks

Yesterday evening, I watched GMA7's Isang Tanong episode until around midnight. (And I blame it for my near lateness if I didn't take a taxi to the camp.) It was a bit too late in my part to hear what the senatorial candidates have to say because I casted my vote already. But I was [...]

Local Absentee Voting for 2007 elections

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) promulgated Resolution #7797 (Local Absentee Voting policy) last 5 January 2007. In general, this resolution provides registered voters a way to cast their ballots in precints other than from where they got registered. The Overseas Absentee Voting policy caters to our fellow Filipinos abroad. Similarly, Local Absentee Voting benefits those [...]

New voters' registration revalidated

Around 800 people from our camp proceeded to the Commission on Election (Comelec) in Makati City yesterday to "revalidate" our voter registration (new/change or status/change of residence). It must be related to the Task Force organized by Comelec the against flying voters.

I was still able to contact my uncle through mobile phone, that was [...]

Upon talking to him, I found out that his purpose of getting to Manila was to stay away from the prying eyes of some local politicians who wanted him dead. He's also supposedly to [...]

The Old Toad

The office atmosphere has never been this glum before the ascent of that new commanding general. Everwhere inside the camp, I hear people are talking about reorganizations, reassignments, and possible field deployments. Personnel and commanders who are staying for more than five/three years in the garrison are ordered to be relieved from their current positions and be assigned elsewhere. Moreover, enlisted personnel who rank Corporal and below are rumoredly to be assigned in field units, not in the garrison.

Greetings!

Growing old, I often wonder how grown-ups think. But I deduce that at a certain point, people reach this level of maturity where they stop thinking about what else could they do in their lifetime. And reaching this level from my [...]
