My high school classmate upon arrival at our meeting place greeted me with:
D: O, nanalo yung school nyo kanina ah! (Your school won just a while ago.)
Me: Talaga? Anong laban? (Really? Match against?)
D: Against DLSU kaya… (or something to that effect)
Me: Okay…
Me: (defensive) I stopped watching UAAP since Wesley (Gonzales) left X years ago.
Sacrilege! I know, haha! But I’m glad about the news.
