The highlight of our stay at Day 1 of the 7th Philippine Toys, Hobbies, and Collectibles Convention 2008 was this all-girl band called My Odessa. They ROCKed the house, literally and figuratively.\m/ They did covers for Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, Led Zeppelin’s “Moby Dick” and Deep Purple’s “Highway Star”. I couldn’t help but lose to my fan-girl self again. I mean these girls are banging and singing… “nobody’s gonna beat my car…” Those two classic songs and instrumental I dearly love. The group was about to end their stay when people began shouting “More! More!” And so they played another rock number again. (Shame on me I couldn’t recognize the last one they played.) These ladies are simply amazing!
Here’s the video I managed to upload on YouTube. Extra thanks to Fluffy for being the cameraman.

Hot rocker ladies! Ain’t they? (Oh, honestly, I’m eating my heart out!) Surprisingly, they have a self-titled album! More info on “My Odessa” self-titled album at KabayanCentral.com.
