And I'm posting about it now lest I forget it will happen a week from now. Although it's nearing, the date hasn't stirred much in me more than the fact that it's Daddy's birthday. And the truth is discounting those days when I freely and heartily give my friends hand-made Valentine's day cards, the rest of my "grown up" years didn't care much about the occasion anymore. Well, let me rephrase that. I didn't care much about V-day until that happened two years ago.
Fluffy and I have been steadies (yuk, what a term!) for less than a month when something fluffy and hearty happened on that day of February.
Of course it was our first V-day together and at the back of my mind, I was hoping for something. But the day passed without a hint from each other about that certain occasion we have to somehow celebrate. I can't remember what exactly happened during the rest of the day. But what I vividly recall was the surprise I felt when I came to the office to do some overtime work.
After opening my PC, for some reason, I opened the last of the 3 drawers of my desk. Guess what I saw?
A rose and a card!
The guy had some guts to surprise me, I thought. I was flattered it was the first rose I ever got in my entire 22 years of existence (that time). When I read the card, I even more amazed when all I could find were these these words... For my Love, My Life, and My Wife. (Haha, okay I revealed that sappy side of Fluffy. He's fluffy for nothing!)
I was pretty much in the giddy state that time. But I didn't expect something had yet to amplify the giddiness.
For some reason (again), I opened the first drawer in my desk.
Whoa! A red, fluffy, heart-shaped key-chain embroidered with the words "I love you" and another card!
That time, I figured out the pattern and on the second drawer laid yet another card and Ferrero Rocher in a heart-shaped case!
I was ecstatic after that kind of surprise my Fluffy planned. Although that wasn't the first time he treated to such amazement (which I have yet to tell in another post).
Isn't it wonderful to be treated that way? What do you plan to give your beloved on V-day?
You might want to try 1-800-flowers.com and look for those perfect valentines day gifts for your special someone. The site offers a lot of choices for your varied tastes. Roses, flowers, chocolates, teddy bears, potted plants, you name it.
If I were a guy and would choose to give my beloved a surprise, I'd opt for Valentine's Day Chocolates and Sweets (as I'd prefer chocolates than flowers as a girl). Hehe. On the other hand, we don't really have much choice as women as to what to give the men, do we? But this list might give us an idea.

That's so sweet! Better think of a romatic idea of my own for me and my wife!
