Two weeks preparation. 5 days of practice. 3 rounds at the grandstand. Early morning rise (3 am to be precise). Sweat, sweat and more sweat. Burger and bottled H₂O breaktime.

Hundreds of military troops went to Quirino grandstand to salute and recognize the 109th year of Philippine Independence. It was such a quick part of the whole program, a good 5 minutes was all it took. But I can’t imagine how many bucketful of sweat were spent to arrive at the final presentation.

Like last year, I was once again, a part of it. The last time I’ll probably salute at the Luneta as a military personnel. And this is one of the things I’ll surely miss when I’m out.
