Eleksyon 2007 senatoriables podcasts at INQUIRER.net

There’s no more reason for me (or you, busy bees out there) not to evaluate my choices for the senatorial slate in this coming May 14 elections. INQUIRER.net podcasted their interviews with some of the senatoriables including candidates from both the Team Unity and United Opposition (like Loren Legarda and Manny Villar) and even independent ones (like gay-rights advocate, Danton Remoto).

In fact, I just listened to Mike Defensor’s denial of riding on the popularity of boxing champion Manny Pacquiao by employing the latter’s impersonator, Poohkiaw to do his “Tol” ad (which I find annoying).

Hey, first things first. I tried to comment days earlier but I kept hitting an error. I like to think I’m Math-abled, but the plugin always tells me otherwise. I just wanted to say, so that’s why I saw that your domain has expired. I couldn’t believe it, hehe. ;D

So anyway, teehee. The most entertaining about elections is the political ads, don’t you agree? People can spend so much money just for it (and even have so-called friends and donors) while our poor kababayans receive nothing from them. *sighs*

@Shari: I have to apologize on that part. ;) I changed the id’s of my form inputs in the admin panel but forgot to edit them in the comments template.

I can’t agree less. What can we think except that later on, these politicians will eventually deduct the cost of their lucridous and costly campaigns from the funds paid by us, taxpayers when they’re already seated.

You make it sound like all politicians, opposition or otherwise, are supposed to be saints. That would be delusional on your part if you think so. Politics is dirty. And it is a numbers game. It is simply the nature of the beast. If you can’t master the game, there is no possible way for you to win.

@Reston: We are talking here from the voters’ point of view. Of course, it’s not arcane to us that politics is a game of dirty tactics. But it’s just so annoying that they present their “saintly” acts to us through the media during campaigns.
