Highlight of the week

Thirty-one days to go before the start of a new year. Cliche it may sound but I’m amazed at how the time passsed. This week alone, a lot of seemingly unforgettable events happened.

My fluffy lost his phone last Tuesday. The sad thing is it got lost inside the barracks and only someone we know could have taken the phone. He purchased his Sony Ericsson W800i last year and it had been the recorder of the many events we celebrated. I feel so sad that something memorable for both of us got lost.

I made my debut in playing our basketball. During the past sportfests, I was always with the committee because I refuse to play with my eyeglasses. This time, however, I decided to join the White Team although I was already assigned in the committee (and because of some encouragement from Fluffy). I had a good time playing and I’m glad Fluffy was proud seeing me play. I practised at their half court last Saturday when we went home. We produced 15 points during the first quarter. Not bad I guess, against the 18 points of our competitor. The fun cost me additional scars on my knees and a bad back ache after the game though.

Yesterday was the wedding of two of our colleages. We had a simple reception in our office. Everyone knew it wasn’t a very ideal situation but they gave their happiest toast to the couple anyway. Good luck to them both.

Two of my former classmates celebrated their birthdays yesterday. One is also celebrating his birthday today. Too bad I cancelled the invitation for dinner tonight because we have a scheduled marathon tomorrow.

Fluffy and I also finished watching Blood+ today. I was teary-eyed in the end. I’m really so intrigued with this anime and I guess a lot of anime fans would be as well.

And tomorrow, I’ll be attending Philippine Star’s co-founder and publisher Max Soliven’s funeral at Libingan ng mga Bayani as one of the usherettes. I hope tomorrow’s weather would be just fine despite of the news about another strong typhoon. it seems like the weather forecast has freaked everyone out so most of the activities were either cancelled or postponed.
