ReviewMe: review and get paid

A few weeks ago, someone e-mailed me that my site is eligible for displaying paid or sponsored blog posts. I visited their site (I won’t mention which is it) but I was skeptical because of some elements in their site that didn’t quite measure to my taste. They didn’t have a logo, for one thing. After a few more weeks, someone emailed me again. This time it was someone from the blogpost-sponsoring site itself.

So I finally decided to try the program after some mental calculation. Afterall, participating in these programs is a win-no win situation. You post about their product and you earn. You don’t post and you won’t earn and you won’t lose anything either.

Then I received my first email. The instructions are simple. You write a post mentioning a particular product and its link, you submit the link to your post containing the link and when you’re done, they’ll pay you.

However, here comes the hard part. Writing on a topic like rhinoplasty or loan/debts isn’t among my interests. Yes, I could probably mention them in my posts but there ARE 10 products and I couldn’t write posts about them ALL in just 5 days! (Hey, I’m a personal blogger and how the hell am I going to include these products in my PERSONAL posts, and they aren’t even among my interest.)

A few days later (after deciding NOT to continue the offer I mentioned above), while browsing other blogs, I came across ReviewMe site. This time I didn’t hesitate to think about joining the program. Their terms are easy.

  1. Sign up for a free ReviewMe account and submit your blog.
  2. Based on ratings, traffic, subscribers, etc, your blog becomes eligible for circulation around the ReviewMe advertisers.
  3. Advertisers will offer their site for you to review.
  4. Accept/decline the reviews offered.
  5. ReviewMe pays you $20 - $200 for each completed review you submit via check or PayPal.

What instantly appealed to me in the ReviewMe program was choice I had to make in reviewing the advertisers’ sites. If I don’t like the site or the service or product it offers, I wouldn’t be ‘forced’ to write. On the other hand, I can passionately write about a particular site or product that I really like.

Hope this service goes on for long. Let’s try. This is my first sponsored post. :)

Wow, ReviewMe seems like a good program. Maybe, I’ll join too. I also received an email from that first program you mentioned. I didn’t even bother joining.
