It's just one of those days when you find no reason why you'd like to make everyone sweat by performing 2-week push ups.
Oh well, I just did this morning when I found one of the juniors late on the formation. I think it's my first time to have someone perform a physical punishment. I guess I have this 'cool' image when it comes to dealing the new privates since I didn't have the reason to be snarky at them. Last week however, we were assigned to look after them in doing the janitorial duties (mostly cleaning). And I've been noticing that they have been slacking off much - from the time they get out of their beds and the number of times they scrub our office floors. I needed to jolt them into the reality that they have yet to outdo their plebe status. Here comes the fascist me. Time to release some long repressed tension. Haha. I'm such a fascist sometimes. Evidently, I somewhat approve the recent martial law declaration in Thailand. *hides*

Sometimes it's good to put people in their place, but I don't believe in punishing a whole country for what a handful of people are doing. Martial law is only good on a small group of people like a platoon of maggots.
