Hehe... at least for us.
I could manage to go home to where there's a non-port-blocked Internet access everyday, I'd get addicted to this game the way I got addicted to Ragnarok Online years back. Oh, wait... I guess I'm already addicted to Hero Online!
It's our new DoTA, our Game of the Moment. I've been introduced to DoTA (AllStars) more than a year now and it became a common activity for Fluffy and I even when we were still 'just friends'. Although I'm far from being at par with him (and our friends) in terms of skills when playing DoTA ('cause I suck big time) or any other video game for that matter, I regarded it as one of those things that have kept us together. We've been playing this and some other Warcraft custom maps until doing "overtime" (or should I say, late night energy consumption) has been forbidden inside the camp. Automatically, though I may also say, accidentally, we found interest in Hero Online.
In comparison to playing DoTA, I'd definitely become more engrossed in play Hero Online because it doesn't require much of a gamer's skills. Seriously, I don't think anyone can suck at playing MMORPGs. I'm no gamer but I learned to love to play these kind of games. Aside from that, the social interaction with other players made my stay with my past MMORPG experience worthwhile.
Last weekend, I played with my character. Without partying with Fluffy, finished some quests and got her a job. When I left her at 1Dan 2Ryu, she was already a Physician. I chose to master her skills using a fist weapon (gauntlets) instead of a rod weapon because Fluffy was complaining about seeing skills similar to his characters'. Feh~
Yesterday, I went home with Fluffy to his place again and played Hero Online (again). We planned on creating a new character, someone who can attack from the distance to party with his melee character (Warrior) in the future. It was so easy to increase my new character's level up to 1Dan 2Ryu while partying with Fluffy. The beauty in playing this game is getting lots of EXP while in party mode with a high-level character. Aside from that, I tend to get most of the loots, even the rare ones.
Kitzie is now a 1Dan 3Kyu throwing weapon-using assasin. I based her name from Fluffy's character, Kitzr which is actually one of his real-life nicknames. I was planning to bring home Toshi and play at the Sampaloc apartment (it's been ages since I've been there!) tomorrow. I'll post some screenshots when I get to play at home. BUT. How atrocious that I misread about my duty tomorrow.
