Warcraft 3 Map: Hero Siege

Hero Siege is comparable to DoTA. Like the other Warcraft 3 maps, it is multiplayer and playable via LAN. To start the game (righteous-side), the players are given options to choose their hero. Then, they’re off to defend their base (castle) located at the center of the map from enemies attacking from different directions. Very much like DoTA indeed, except that fighting against the computer is tough.

Hero SiegeWith every level of the game, new batch of enemies spawn from the darkness’s bases. There are only three (3) levels in the game, but there are also enemy waves attacking proximately close the base coming from the four directions on schedule. Aside from the regular levels and enemy waves, there are also special events scheduled. During these special events, the players are given chances to earn more money in order to purchase items needed for leveling up or raising their stats.

After the final wave, where heroes are to defend the base from layer & layers of enemies propped by a boss on each direction, the heroes must search & defeat the other enemy bosses across the map. Then defeat the final boss named Ghost (ugh!).

Last night we played Hero Siege until 1am (literally, this morning). We’ve been attempting to endure the last level for two weeks (or so) and it was only during this latest game that we finished it. :) As always, kitzr was dominating the game. He had leveled up far too early before us three, he had the most kills and he was able to capture the special event sagas.

Winner!
Yaho watashi wa kataze!

I used the Stealth Assasin because she has Blink. I’m afraid my heroes wouldn’t endure the creep wave upon opening the gate to the Frozen Throne so I chose the one with Teleport. I didn’t realize that her Poison would be instrumental in bringing down the final boss though. Not to mention her Morph cast ability. Fighting off the boss face-to-face would be vain. So our strategy was to turn him into a sheep first (by casting Morph), then strike at much as we could. I tried casting Silence on the boss (just in case it has magic abilities), then striking it with poison. Although kitzr was owning, I was surprised I killed the boss with the Poison. ;) (Hehe, but if I wasn’t backed up with gold by kitzr, I wouldn’t be level 30).
