Parade survivor
Not quite a lot of things happened this week.
I survived my first testimonial parade, which is the turn-over ceremony for the new CG of the army last 17 August. Eight other people bogged down during the ceremony, including 2 officers. Now, people of the higher ups are undergoing skirmishes to determine what to do with these people. I heard they came up with a resolution to let the women soldiers undergo special PFT just to ensure no one will bog down ever. Hah~ F#@$2#$@#@tang! angDotAngina…
I also rallied a Flash presentation for our Ma’am surprise birthday party during the 18th.
I was actually excited to do this one since it’s been a long time since I got my hands on a Flash project. But there’s not so much time allotted for it so, it was a crammed project in the end… Well, anyways the party was fun although the troop’s been burnt out. Hehe. ![]()

This year we’re no longer on the parade grounds. There were rumors that this new commanding general is quite queasy with the presence of enlisted women (namely, us). So no platoons of female soldiers were deployed which is positive on our side. Anyway, who would want to stand at attention (or at parade rest) in the grounds for 3 or more hours while listening to the flatteringly redundant speeches of the higher ups? I’m through with it. But I wouldn’t really be grumpy about it if I will be assigned this duty once more. I have this desire to turn every tiring, exhaustive physical experience into something memorable. [...]
