Excuse Me Part 2

Quoting Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, (not verbatim) …these AFP Officers have the abilities compared to nothing but that of a one-celled amoeba. LOL. She has never failed to impress me, even with her OVER-REACTION on the current national issue, no other than the Congress investigation over the alleged ill-gotten wealth of an AFP official. That was what she said in a recent privilege speech over the Senate, and please take note that it WAS a public speech, which was broadcasted over the television, nationwide. Thank goodness, she spared the bacterium. (Or maybe this had already been a part of her dictionary since she had been doing public speeches.)

In relation with what I said in the previous post, I guess I failed to raise an “important” detail as to why must I call these persons bigots. For the record, I didn’t state a particular instance that “someone has actually called me jologs“. It seemed implied in my sentences as if someone really did that to me. NOT!

I’m just putting myself in that situation, or more aptly said, I’m posing to represent those people who’ve been misnamed jologs by these people who claim that they own these anime characters just because they saw them first, unadulterated and undubbed in Tagalog Filipino. Yes, they do think they own these anime, not thinking that these creations are commercial! They didn’t pay the creator to produce these things for them. I guess I really missed out on that one, so there. (See? I’m not at all whining about how the Tagalized anime have become obnoxious to these “loyal” anime fans.)

Now, in what point is there bigotry? On one reason, which may seem like “protecting their own interests” (although all they could do is whine forever & spread anti-genki dama to the “jologs” society, thank goodness), can boil down to these name-callings (which is a very sensitive issue concerning our culture), thereby creating divisions, and there’s where discrimination emanates.

It’s true I OVERREACTED but it’s not like I broadcasted it in the national TV. ;P In a few weeks time, I shall be a part of that institution whom I shall refer to, from now on, as Amoebas, the Foolish Predators (AFP). O di ba? Wasn’t it more excruciating to be labeled as having the ability and mentality of a one-celled organism? On the pilosopo side, if they indeed have these kinds of ability and mentality, how could they have (ill)gotten their wealth, undetected for so long? I’m not glorifying these military officials’ shameful acts. Perhaps those wealthy members of the homeowners association I mentioned before would more willingly be branded as bigots than amoebas, if they’d been in same situation.

Thanks to Jenny for the comments. You’re still Mariano’s pet. ;P At least, I can prove Miriam wrong. LOL. I am actually beginning to express myself more because I’m hoping for something and hopefully, it won’t become nothing in the end.

Yesterday evening, I started my self-imposed training by strolling with Moochie around our village for 20 minutes. Bad idea. We were harboring all the unwanted attention from other dogs, on the streets and inside the houses. Thank goodness, I managed to disallow Moochie from having eye-contact with the other dogs. Experts say that dog fights always begin with eye-contact. I *might* still bring him with me tomorrow, ’cause I don’t want to be alone. :)
