I'm gonna be a soldier!

So I got the job I was talking about in some of my posts, making me as I said earlier, the proudest person in the world! :D *insert maniacal Master Pogi laugh*

I was accepted in my application for a programmer post at a government office in Fort Bonifacio. Take note, it's not just another government office but the Philippine Army. Wahahaha! I'm gonna be a soldier!

Who says a girl with a puny height like me cannot enter the military? :D Once, I dreamt of entering the Philippine Military Academy through my uncle's family's persuasion. Apparently, my height intimidated me from taking the entrance exam. But now, I'm looking forward to working with some people from that prestigious military school. :D

What makes me ecstatic about being accepted is the fact that this job opportunity is very rare. Although I have removed all hopes of becoming a millionaire any sooner, I'm glad that I'll be serving the government and at the same time practicing my computer geekiness as a programmer. I can now pass my willingness to be a part of the JVP, plus supress some rebellious/communist tendencies in me.

It's as if God had really guided me through that job. I read the ad from JobStreet.com. Normally, employers there would reply to me a week after my online application. But their office replied within a day or so! I later realized the employer was indeed the Army Management Information Center (AMIC) of the Philippine Army! :D

So after a series of screening process, which included btw, the sloppy java program I wrote for the technical screening, I'm included. I told my family and it seems like they've got nothing against it, although knowing that we'll undergo military training in the process. :) Thank you, Lord.
