Jologs Party and Pirated CDs

I attended ACIL's acquaintance party yesterday. Our group performed, and I together with 2 other groupmates had to do the Masculados' Jumbo Hotdog act.

"Jumbo Hotdog, kaya mo ba to?" (Jumbo Hotdog, can you handle this?)
Oh, oh... oh, oh...

The party was themed "Jologs" so our act wasn't actually the worstly hilarious scene presented. Six of our boys crossdressed. Our president who's from the other group has again revealed another wild side of her. We won the "Konti na lang, Jologs Na Award". While the real winner (Jologs Award) was the group that did a dubbed soap opera act.

The party ended at around 11 p.m. so I just had a sleep-over at my former dorm. John (the one who replaced me as a housemate) was there and I borrowed his Disciples II installer. He also has an original copy of Arcanum (which he highly recommends for its non-linear plot) but another former classmate borrowed it. They tried burning it but the copy won't work. Also, I heard from him that his copy was the last one available at the shop where he purchased it. So I guess, I have to wait in queue if I wanted to play Arcanum.

The day before that (Friday) I was frantically going from places after school in search for Tagalog Jologs songs. I first went to Ali Mall and found no luck there. No, I didn't find mp3 CD's of local artists there, only foreign artist mp3's and softwares. My next stop was Riverbanks. I knew there'll be those kind of music remixes - the kind you'll hear on jeepneys. So I bought one for P120. Not all of the songs I was looking for are there so I had to stop by the Marikina public market. It's the place where pirated CD's are openly displayed and sold! Unlike in Riverbanks, I didn't really find pirated audio CD's (I don't think the remixes are pirated). There are pirated movie DVD's, yes, but you wouldn't find anything displayed on the stalls. So I bought 3 for P100. Bargain, indeed.

SamPA
Missing the Happy P6 Pipol!
It's quite sad to say that this picture is the remembrance from THE last acquaintance party of SamPA (Samahang Pisika ng Ateneo). Taken last year featuring the seniors. ;_; Me sad. A new physics org was organized (LeaPs - League of PhysicistS) by some conscientious juniors.
