Praise to LoTR!

What I ought to say after watching The Lord of the Rings? Excellent, brilliant, amazing… truly a rare cinematic display… breath-taking… you wouldn’t complain if you hadn’t read the book… I’m taking this opportunity to praise the movie and the story before hearing buzzes and hearsays from other viewers…

Any description of the movie can hardly be put into words… As I’ve written earlier, it’s simply breath-taking. Of course, with consideration for the cinematic appeal, some of the details in the book were omitted and changed, some were necessarily highlighted such as the attack of the undead army. Ah, never mind… I was trembling while watching the movie in big screen. Not because of the aircondition. I would’ve cried during the final battle scene of the Mordor army versus the warriors from Gondor and Rohan led by none other than the rightful king, Aragorn.

Storywise, the Lord of the Rings is a story about an insurmountable (in the mortal sense) hope, unwavering loyalty and friendship. Well, that’s one of the many faces of the story. This one however is the most I’m inclined into since it’s the most positive thought anyone can be getting from the story itself. It’s quite inevitable to draw some “twisted” thoughts like from the movie (and the book) with the super closeness of Frodo and Sam, or Gollum’s “my precious”, and even Galadriel’s eccentric smile. But what matters most here is the message that surpasses all of these.

So, watch the movie the first time, the second time, third time… I don’t think I’d ever get tired of it. :)
