I had a semi-fruitful vacation last week. Trisha, I’ve been to Bicol. ^^ BTW, Shiela, goodluck sa vacation mo! Nagi and Krissy, I think I’ll be able to go sa AQ2K3! Yey! I thought it was last monday.

Hahahaha! I received a lot of “updates” on my friends during those 5 days…

SATURDAY

Arrived at about 9 o’clock in Oas, Albay, just in time to attend the graduation celebration of my childhood friend, Puppy Love. She graduated Cum Laude BS Criminology. Wouldn’t it be great to think that I’ll soon be having a policewoman friend? We drank (my second in a month) and got not-so drunk. ^^ There were 3 of us passing the pomelo-diluted gin around, I, Nini (my cousin) and the celebrant. Don, another childhood friend, was also around but he preferred beer. Got home around 3 a.m. the next day. I just realized my cousin, who btw is 2 years younger than me, is leaving me out in terms of liquor drinking. Bleech! I’m still a beginner!

TUESDAY

We went to the Albay Park and Wildlife in Legazpi. My first time there although I’ve seen it from buses. The sun was sooo mean, we just contented ourselves sitting under the trees. The funny thing there were the wild pigs! My first time to see one. But my dad said that wild pigs ain’t supposed to be fat. Those pigs were really big that their bellies reach the ground! The whole gang was present. I mean my father side’s family - my T�l’s children and us (Dad’s). We later went to my uncle’s house and they fixed the mini-orchidarium at the 3rd floor of the house.

WEDNESDAY

Decided to call my friend, Shawie and convince her go on a date.^^ Went to the mall and decided to watch Dreamcatcher. The fee was cheap - only P35! The movie house don’t suck much, except that it seemed like there were only 2 of us watching the supposed to be “horror” movie (ugh! Stephen King). Awww! I covered my eyes whenever I see those alien-to-man attacks! EEwww! Kadiri! The movie was bad, sad to say… There were characters introduced which lack character build-up. Well, if you’re into those “flesh bloody hunts”, perhaps.

We later ate Jap food. I was convincing her to try tuna sashimi but I think she still imagined the movie so she backed off. The food was also cheap! Well, compared to the usual Kamirori bouts. For P90, there were already tuna, squid and crab, some weird ginger and sea weed.^^

I’m supposed to go with Ninang and my cousins for the procession but I was too lazy to get up after the trip to the mall.

THURSDAY

Holy Thursday… Bummed around the house again with my bum sisters… Bro stayed at cousin’s house. He’s got quite an interesting barkada there - Miko and Kingking, and my cousins.

FRIDAY

It was Good Friday and I was just expecting to spend my whole day at home. No watching of that Good Friday procession of images (santo). I didn’t expect it to be the more “interesting day”… My high school classmates visited me home and I went with them to catch up with another classmate who went into the procession. We encountered our “long lost” classmate, Cecille, whom we haven’t got in touch with since high school graduation. And while catching up with DJ, I saw Cha, Buddy, Ryan and Ralph - my Oasn�n buddies and grade school classmates. We also passed by Ivy’s house and she followed us to the municipal hall. Hehe… That was some sort of reunion…

I learned that my classmate Mer is my Nini’s boyfriend. Hehe, I think I scared him. When we were 4th year hs, I was getting sort of reminders and permissions from him if he could court my cousin and I was just saying, “Let her grow” and I this time, I guess, she’s old enough to handle relationships…

And Good Friday didn’t turn out solemn at all… After the supposed-to-be “procession”, I drank with those peeps I drank with on Saturday. That time, another childhood friend, Banduy, treated us a bottle of brandy and Coke. It was supposed to be in celebration of my friend, Don’s heartache. ^^ Well, the news about her “true love”, ka-MU, and girly-girlfriend’s pregnancy out of wedlock is everywhere. And he’s not “THE ONE”. Hehe. Poor guy. We were convincing him to let it out. But the girls got drunk first, and so the confession came later as we recovered and the guys started to get drunk. Pie was telling him to forget about her, and we were asking him what makes him so attached to her even though he has had girlfriends after his relationship with her. He repeatedly told us:

“Si Len, lang-kanus!” (Len’s so ugly.)

“Ka-pango!” (Ugly nose.)

“Kababa!” (Short.)

“Lang tali kintana, pero KA-PATAL!” (Bright but idiot nonetheless.)

Haha… I was telling him he’s beginning to look like his childhood idol, the late commedian Rene Requiestas. But he told us he’s too “macho” to be compared to him, he’s got a complete set of teeth, etc. We were asking him if he’s attending the wedding, and they told me I’m getting too straight to the point ~_^’ It hurted him.

Hah! I hope he gets over this. I just realized that his feelings were so different from mine when I had the crush… It was love for him, mine was just infatuation… Tsk.

SATURDAY

I was preparing my baggage when Ivy and Richie came, then Buddy and Ralph. They accompanied me to the waiting place, with my Mama and Dad. And we talked and talked and talked about things… many to mention. ~_^’ Richie is leaving today for LB and Chacha, tomorrow. I already asked them to go to the AQ2K3 just like last year. But I’m not so sure. Then I boarded the bus.
